Full-Time Position

Provo, UT

WhyTry is looking for an Account Executive who can close business, expand relationships and build opportunities within an assigned territory. We are looking for an AE with a “hunter” mentality that can take ownership of a territory and create significant growth.


  • Exceed assigned sales quotas and objectives, and build new revenue through the expansion and growth of business relationships with new customers
  • Work with customers to understand and identify their strategic vision and objectives and align our products and services where opportunities exist
  • Thoroughly understand specific customer’s program and training needs and demonstrate WhyTry’s ability to solve those needs
  • Perform sales presentations/demonstrations to match solutions with identified needs
  • Accurately forecast quarterly and monthly sales by possessing a full understanding of customers’ specific decision-making and purchasing process
  • Meet face to face with customers to build relationships and gain an excellent understanding of their political and corporate environment
  • Effectively manage RFP’s, bids & other customer requirements
  • Expedite the sales cycle by demonstrating superior knowledge of the WhyTry Program
  • Increase deal size through a consultative and analytical sales approach
  • Develop and manage pipeline activity and monitor sales activity against assigned quotas
  • Acquire and integrate industry knowledge related to general trends, emerging technologies, and competitors



  • Minimum of 5 years SaaS sales experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SalesForce is required
  • Proven “hunter" background with a track record of continually exceeding quota targets
  • Knowledge of the education industry and how business is done within the industry is preferred
  • Possess the ability to gather information on customer processes, critical success factors and competitive standing to deliver value-added solutions
  • Experience building a sales pipeline and positioning business to close
  • Strong analytical skills that enable the development of a complete sales cycle
  • Consultative, solution experience selling software products
  • Proven track record in developing and managing clients in multiple industries
  • Independent thinker, with good judgment skills and proven track record in problem solving
  • Excellent presentation skills, business writing skills and oral communication skills
  • Must be capable of balancing general prospecting requirements, fulfilling customer needs and meeting company expectations and goals




Part-Time Position

Provo, UT

WhyTry is looking for a Sales Development Representative to support our Inside Sales Team.  Signing up new customers with its market-leading social and emotional behavioral program will be your number one focus. This position is responsible for providing qualified leads and setting appointments for our Inside Sales Representatives. This is a quota bearing position based upon setting appointments. This position is located in our Provo, Utah office and reports to the Director of Sales. 


  • Captivate new leads with a presentation of our product that is both engaging and professional
  • Make heavy outbound phone calls
  • Establish rapport and schedule appointments with potential customers, while making detailed notes in SalesForce
  • Maintain knowledge of the market and current programs
  • Demonstrate comprehensive product knowledge to effectively articulate benefits & company services to prospects
  • Collaborate with the sales team and other departments to achieve and exceed business goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Have a minimum of 1 year experience in Sales and/or Customer Service
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SalesForce is highly recommended
  • Experience in the education industry is preferred
  • Utilize excellent verbal and written English skills
  • Be tech savvy with an understanding of how a school’s needs can be better served with a social and emotional program
  • Be an ambitious person with a general aptitude for sales and customer service
  • Have the ability to multi-task with a strong work ethic and business acumen
  • Have excellent people skills and a talent in working with external customers
  • Possess exceptional organizational skills with capability to work under deadlines and specific time frames
  • Be a team player with a positive attitude
  • Have regular and consistent attendance
  • Have an awesome sense of humor. Mad ping-pong/golf skills a plus
